Infused with passion and a genuine commitment to elevating our community, our seasoned trainers and staff walk alongside you, every step of your fitness journey.
I was born and raised in Orange County, California. Growing up I played sports and was interested in multiple possible career paths. But, the only thing that was constant was my love for training and going to the gym. So I decided to make it my career! I completed my certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and my B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal Baptist University. When I’m not coaching, my favorite thing to do is be with my wife and three kids. And if you are interested in bringing me some food, I won’t turn down a breakfast burrito.
I was born and raised from Greensboro NC. I grew up doing gymnastics and got into power and olympic lifting in high school.
I’m currently in college working on my Bachelors in Public Health. Helping people improve their healthy has always been one of my biggest goals. I love to see people walk in the gym, accomplish a new movement or kill a workout and leave with a smile on their face. The IronTribe community is absolutely amazing, the support and drive one gets from coaches and other members is what pushes me to try my best every day.
I’m originally from Texas, where I was a multi-sport athlete and played college football at Arkansas Tech University.
I joined the ARMY in 2004, served until 2008, and fitness has always been central to my life. I earned my CSCS, worked as a college strength coach and gym manager, and later moved to Nashville, where I discovered Iron Tribe. I’ve competed in weightlifting, powerlifting, and strongman. Over two decades, I’ve coached thousands of athletes, from professionals to my grandmother, guiding them toward life-changing wellness.
Iron Tribe has helped me fulfill what I know God designed me to do—helping people achieve wellness physically, mentally, and spiritually.
My passions are my kids MJ and George. You’ll see them running around the gym with my wife, Kait, who’s an amazing athlete herself. I also enjoy woodworking, furniture building, and telling daily dad jokes (though “good” is subjective)
My Iron Tribe journey started in 2009 when Forrest Walden--the Founder and CEO of the brand--invited me to workout in his garage. I'd never experienced that kind of camaraderie, fun and results from fitness ever before. My wife joined me, we both got hooked and were founding members when the first Iron Tribe location opened in 2010. I got passionate about the business side of Iron Tribe after learning about the initial franchise concept. Being a very happy client, I knew it worked. I believed in it so much, I sold my previous marketing agency in 2014 to devote my full-time effort to expanding Iron Tribe to the Greater Nashville area.
The last 10 years have been an amazing ride as we've impacted thousands of lives through five fitness communities. I'm most proud of our talented team who've become seasoned leaders in delivering an awesome experience for our clients. My wife and have been married for more than 25 years and are the proud parents of three sons (and a golden retriever). Outside of work, I enjoy being active in the outdoors, music and serving in ministry.
